OUR STORY
Back in 1998, Mark Hillman was the “Windows 98 guru” at a local marketing agency. It was hands-on, sleeves-rolled, learn-as-you-go stuff. And he loved it.
By 2000, Mark moved into telecoms and became a telecomms engineer. This was the era when offices still had cupboards full of cables and manuals thicker than a phone book. He spent his days wiring, configuring, troubleshooting – and building a deep understanding of how communication really works behind the scenes.
In 2002, he made the jump into telephony and IT integration. Mark became a Nortel contractor and fun fact, was the very first person to install a Nortel BCM phone system in the UK. It was the start of blending networks, telephony, and IT into something more joined-up, more efficient and more useful.
Fast-forward to 2011, and Mark launched Stadium Wireless – a technical services company. Not long after, he secured the WiFi installation contract for The Leadenhall Building (you might know it as The Cheesegrater). The team laid 5 miles of copper cables, 6 miles of fibre, 380 access points and 230 data switches. The kind of project where you finish and think, “Yeah… we can pretty much handle anything.”
